Friendship!

Friendship is one of the first and unavoidable things that come into our lives from the very first phase. According to the formal definition, friendship is often considered a mutual and agreeable relationship between two individuals. Like many other things, this relationship also has a few rules and regulations that must be followed in order to keep it healthy, if not followed things can end up in a serious mess. Some very important aspects of friendship are –

(a). Loyalty - We should always be loyal. Cheating can be devastating at times for both ends as trust-breaking is one of the most hurting things we face in life and can turn the cheated person into an incredulous person (who cannot really trust anyone after being cheated on).

(b). Sharing carefully - As we are social creatures we often have a tendency to just share everything with everyone, at times which results in unwanted distribution of some private chats we had with someone sometimes that can lead to problems thereafter.

(c). The friend is more important than the friendship - We should be worried about the friend, not the friendship. Just, for example, let us assume that a friend is having a wrong company which is making him take wrong decisions, then a true friend will never think about the friendship rather he/she will think about the friend and stop him/her do so even if the friendship is compromised.

(d). Availability - “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. This is a very insightful phrase. It states that a friend who stays by your side in your bad times is indeed a true friend.

(e). Last but not least, “Be You!” - Just stay as you are, the person who likes you will approach you for your friendship for who you are, don’t try to show yourself off or hide your weaknesses to gain someone’s friendship, as when he/she will discover that you aren’t the person he/she assumed you were you can lose their friendship.

If we keep these things in mind we can gain real gems as friends in our life and be happy together.

  2. This is such a wonderful post and such beautifully written. Friends indeed do play a very important role in one's life and having true friends who really stay by your side no matter what happens is a rare luxury. People can lie blatantly and say that they are loyal to you but a true friend never judges or seeks for credit. He or she merely stay there encouraging you to do your best in a subtle way always expecting you to never change. They want you to always be YOU and that matters.
